Connect your AI assistant
You need a Corroborum account (the free plan is enough; Claude creates it when you connect). In Claude, add Corroborum from the connector directory; other assistants use the server URL https://mcp.corroborum.com/mcp.
Open Corroborum in Claude’s connector directory and choose Connect.
Or add it by URL: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste:
MCP server URL:https://mcp.corroborum.com/mcpSign in with your Corroborum account. Then enable Corroborum for a chat from the tools menu.
Ask something like “Find randomised trials on intermittent fasting and HbA1c since 2018.”
Check that it works
Ask your assistant a research question. When it calls search_papers, the call appears under Recent activity in your dashboard within about ten seconds and counts towards your allowance.
Signing in
Your assistant sends you to our sign-in page the first time it connects. Use the same account you use on corroborum.com so your plan and allowance apply. To disconnect, remove the connector in your assistant.
Troubleshooting
- The connector shows as disconnected. Remove it and add it again; sign in when prompted.
- The assistant does not use the tools. Make sure Corroborum is enabled for the chat, then ask for papers explicitly.
- Claude stops a biology question with a safeguards error. On Claude Opus 5.5, some questions about how a pathogen spreads or survives, or about animal exposure studies, can be stopped by Anthropic’s safety check before any search runs. It happens without Corroborum too. Asking about human or epidemiological evidence usually works, or use another model.
- Errors such as BUDGET_EXCEEDED. See Errors.
