Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Founderproof, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”), for your use of Corroborum, its website and its MCP server (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

The service

Corroborum lets AI assistants such as Claude search scholarly literature metadata. Results come from third-party sources, chiefly OpenAlex, and may be incomplete or wrong. Retraction flags reflect OpenAlex’s data and may miss retractions. The service is a research aid, not professional, medical or legal advice; check important findings in the original sources.

Your account

You must be at least 18 and give accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account. One free account per person.

Plans, payment and renewal

• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Each plan includes a monthly allowance of searches. When it is used up, searches stop until it resets; there are no overage charges.
• You can cancel at any time in the billing portal; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades at the end of the period.
• Refunds: payments are non-refundable, and we do not refund partial periods when you cancel, except where required by law. If you were charged in error or the service did not work for you, contact us and we will look at it case by case.
• If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. By starting to use a paid plan in that period you ask us to provide the service straight away; if you then withdraw, we refund the payment minus the share for the period you already used.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• circumvent rate limits or allowances, or share an account to pool allowances;
• resell the service or bulk-download data through it;
• probe, disrupt or overload the service or its upstream providers;
• use the service in violation of law or the rights of others.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Data and content

Paper metadata is provided by OpenAlex under CC0 and by other sources under their terms. Our handling of your personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Availability and changes

We aim for a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid service we will refund the unused part of a prepaid period.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms, with notice where practical.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer law gives you rights that cannot be waived.
